Trying to get your PNP clearance online but not sure where to start? Whether you are a first-time applicant or renewing an expired police clearance, understanding the correct process can save you hours of stress and delays. This complete 2026 PNP clearance guide covers everything from registration and appointment booking to GCash payment, verification, requirements, and certificate download.

PNP Clearance also called National Police Clearance (NPC), is an official document issued by the Philippine National Police. It confirms that the person named in the certificate has no criminal record in the PNP national database.

This document is different from a barangay clearance or a local police clearance. The PNP national clearance pulls records from a nationwide system, which is why most employers, government offices, schools, and embassies specifically ask for it rather than the local version.

Where to Apply

Renewal

The official website is clearance.npcs.gov.ph. This is the only authorized platform for PNP online clearance registration, applications, appointments, and payments.

The main system is web-based and accessible through any browser on your phone or laptop. There is no separate official PNP clearance ph register app at this time. Always access the system through the official website.

Try checking back on a different day as new slots are opened regularly. You can also choose a different station near you if the one you prefer has no available slots.

No. The PNP clearance is issued by the Philippine National Police and checks records in the PNP database. The NBI clearance is issued by the National Bureau of Investigation and checks a separate database. Some employers and agencies require both. Check what is specifically required before you apply.

Yes. Under the First Time Job Seekers Assistance Act, first-time job seekers can apply for a PNP clearance without paying the standard fee. You need to present a barangay certificate confirming your status as a first-time job seeker when you visit the station.

For vehicle-related transactions such as ownership transfers, some LTO and car dealership processes may require a valid police clearance as part of the document requirements. The standard PNP clearance requirements apply, which means two valid IDs, a 2×2 photo, and payment of the fee.

After paying, go to your Transaction History page inside your NPCS account. If the payment status shows as successful, your payment has been received. Always take a screenshot of the confirmation page right after paying.

For non-appearance online renewals, no appointment is needed. For first-time applications and in-person renewals, an appointment must be booked through the NPCS website before visiting the station.
